Our Story
STEM Tutoring was founded with one main goal, to ensure every child, regardless of their background, achieve excellent results in STEM related subjects, at an unbelievably, affordable cost. Having worked at two leading independent schools, our founder, Jaspal Singh, was keen to share his expertise with schools across the UK in his role as a Subject Matter Expert for the National Centre for Computing Education and worked with over 400 schools in the UK supporting the development of the KS3 – KS5 computing curriculum. Having seen first hand, the disparity, in the quality and delivery of the computing curriculum across the country, he started a series of one week free summer bootcamps covering the GCSE Computer Science syllabus from 2019 to 2022. This led to the start of STEM Tutoring. An online tutoring company, unlike any other tutoring company in the world. For the cost of one session with a traditional private tutor, we provide students with world class teachers from leading schools in the UK, access to a 1 year programme of study with 2 hours of weekly live lessons.

About Programme
We are very passionate about delivering excellent teaching to students so that they have every chance of success in Computer Science. The online GCSE Computer Science course offers students an opportunity to access weekly online lessons and our very popular holiday Master Classes. Course participants have access to a number of resources including detailed video instructions for Python programming challanges and exam questions from the AQA, Edexcel and OCR Examination Boards.
How Master Classes Work
- Each lesson is dedicated to covering both theoretical notes and exam practice questions. As part of the lesson, we go through a number of exam questions, exploring what the exam board requires of students and how to score the highest marks.
- Learners are supported beyond the course through the provision of high-quality, comprehensive and original materials, including notes and question booklets. These resources have been specially created to supplement the learning experience and support students beyond the online course.
- The live lessons are held over Microsoft Teams and Zoom with plenty of opportunity for student engagement, including live quizzes and Q&A’s.
- Students that are not able to join a full session are able to access the recording and work at their own pace using the class materials which are accessible via Google Drive and MS Teams.
Master Class Schedule 2022 - 2023
HIGH ACHIEVERS
(Weekly Monday 7pm-8pm)
- This weekly session is aimed at supporting students working towards a Grade 7 and offers student’s the opportunity to practice exam questions and consolidate their learning on Paper 1 and Paper 2 with a greater focus on the accuracy of language.
ACCESSING COMPUTER SCIENCE
(Weekly Tuesday 7pm-8pm)
- This weekly session focuses on mastering the mathematical logic and consolidating selected key topics in Networks, impacts of digital technology, Data Representation and Computer Systems to ensure that students are working towards a Grade 5 attainment.

- A 2 day course during October half-term which focuses on programming exam questions.
